Cities are where migrants' rights are claimed, negotiated and denied in everyday life. ANCHOR studies how urban citizenship for undocumented and underdocumented residents is cultivated, sustained or dismantled, and what role political will plays in this process.
The project treats political will not only as a matter of intentions or statements, but as an urban infrastructure: something built into routines, services and space, which can make local belonging possible or take it away.
